What can I say about this gig, It was without doubt the most bizarre gig I have been to in a long time, But in a good way. There has been lots of controversy surrounding this with some saying they feel cheated as no one played or sang live. But to me it didn’t matter it was truly a spectacle to watch and be a part of and I loved every minute.

They played most songs from the new album just a couple from previous ones, Ending on ‘Silent Shout’ I was extremely happy even if they ‘didn’t sing or play live’. Here are some tracks of the new album ‘Shaking The Habitual’.

Parquet Courts are from Brooklyn and are a cross between The Strokes & The Ramones. I had their album on repeat for a month so was very excited to see them in the tiny sweaty cramped basement at the Seabright Arms on Hackney Road.

If you like either of the above bands this one is for you. Their album ‘Light Up Gold’ is one of my favourites of the year so far. Check out some tracks below.

If there is one band that has been hyped to the max for the last year then it’s The Savages. Only releasing two tracks so far (Which are killer) I wondered how their other material would hold up. But I needn’t have worried.

Every track held up and they are ferocious to watch live. Their debut album is out in May on Matador I would advise seeing them as quickly as you can. Check out some tracks below.

I have been dying to see Four Tet live for an age. Seen him DJ twice but never play his own material.

The venue was the grimy Heaven and it was a Thursday which I was quite disappointed by as once it got started it had a full on rave feel. Playing tracks from all his previous albums this was a gig of dancing from start to finish. Check out two of my favourite tracks of his.

This is the second time I have seen Unknown Mortal Orchestra and the only things that disappointed me about this gig were the 7 foot man stood in front of me the whole time and the fact it was £5 for a can of luke warm beer.

They are on their second album now just released simply titled II. The three piece band from New Zealand blend psychedelic rock and Lo Fi beautifully. Check out my two fav tracks from the album (of which there are many)
