I almost cried at a gig last night and I can tell you that hasn’t happened since I saw Robbie Williams sing “Angels” many moons ago. The gig was at the Forum and the band was Girls. The California band were playing Their only Uk show this year, This was without doubt the best gig I have been to in a long long time, (and the hottest) The stage was kitted out with flowers around the mikes, Very Morrissey.
The sound was good, the band was tight, The 3 backing singers almost stole the show, there was a point where one of them came out to sing the last parts of “Vomit” with Frontman Christopher Owens and the place erupted, My friend who I went with actually said “That was the highlight of any gig I have been to this year”. I concur my friend.
