Since I first heard redinho I’ve loved him, he is a really amazing artist. He’s produced some amazing tracks and his live performance is immense, I must say a highlight of my year. Today I give you his new release on Numbers – Stay Together. I own it and you should too.

Tonight we go to XoYo to see Hudson Mohawke play what is probably his biggest gig yet. His Ep Satin Panthers is in my view the most forward thinking and freshest sounding release for awhile. Seen him a few months back at a small poncy, free booze gig….. Despite the over-posing of the crowd, He was immense.

Supporting him is a current fav of mine “Redinho” who I’ve mentioned on here before, another awesome live performance.

Also playing who is kinda new to me is Jacques Greene, from Canada he brings us some sweet tunes, looking forward to seeing him.

Hudson Mohawke – Turn Me Off by Hudson Mohawke

This is the man who supported SBTRKT last night in Hoxton bar/kitchen. I first heard of him, as I hear about 70% of my new music, from Dazed Digital. They featured him in a mix for the Dazed Live festival a couple of months back. This toon in particular really caught my attention when I first heard it, and it wasn’t until no more then 2 weeks ago he released his “Edge off” ep on Numbers that I got to hear it in full.

Anyway, his live performance, which did not include the above track, is pretty awesome. Although I think the sound engineer forgot to turn up the sound system for him I could understand the attended affect. The set up is a ginger man, I think, some sort of software, a midi controller, again I think, a sampler and talk box pipe he sings into a microphone with, which I’ve seen before but can someone please tell me how it works???

When this guy starts playing his own live shows I will be there, It’s got Hip-Hop beats, vocoder vocals, with big Bass drops…….. I like it.

Here’s a track he did play.
